Steel Roses Podcast
Steel Roses is a podcast created for women by women. Social pressures for women are constant. Professionals, stay at home moms, working moms, we are here to tell you that you are not alone! This podcasts primary focus is providing real honest content shedding light on the daily struggles of women while also elevating women's voices.
All women are experiencing similar pressures and hurdles, and yet, no one is talking out in the open. If these topics continue to only exist as whispered conversations then we further permeate a culture of judgement and shame.
Join Jenny weekly as she discusses topics that effect women in a relatable, honest way.

everybody, welcome to steel roses podcast. This podcast was created for women, by women, to elevate women's voices. Um, I am very happy and excited to be here today because this is our first steel roses live streaming episode. Um 2025 is going to be very exciting because not only will we have our regular guest episodes to share with you, but I'm also going to have live streams. So the live streams won't just be me. I'm actually going to be having some of my former guests come on and be part of these live discussions where we can just talk about topics that are relevant to you today. So, first and foremost, this is my first episode for 2025. I am gearing up for season three. I have a tremendous guest roster for season three, for the Winter Spring Series. It's going to be kicking off next weekend, on Sunday, so be prepared for that.
Speaker 1:These women that are coming to the podcast and that are sharing their stories are so impactful and if you've been following along for season one and season two, you do know that when I say impactful, I mean these stories are strong, and the thing about these stories is that this could be your neighbor. I mean these women are everyday women that are coming on and just showing their authenticity and showing who they are, and the ultimate goal for a majority of them, sincerely, is that they want to help other people, and that was really the premise for this podcast when it started. When the podcast originally the concept came together, it was myself and my cousin, so if you've heard the earlier episodes, you know that there was a co-host originally, which is actually why you hear me say our a lot, because I'm still struggling with just saying my. Originally it was a two-person podcast and it has transformed since then into this larger, broader thing where women are coming in and feeling comfortable enough to share their stories and to be really their authentic selves. So the takeaway from these episodes is that you aren't alone in what you're going through. We are all going through the same things. We're having similar struggles and we are saturated with images online and in social media of perfection, and we're saturated with the idea of, well, what I am is not enough and what I have is not perfection. And we're saturated with the idea of, well, what I am is not enough and what I have is not enough and I need to always be seeking out more. And that's just not the case and it really just isn't. So. I want this to be a place for people to come and to really feel like they have found a place where they can just be themselves.
Speaker 1:Now, on this note, I'm not going to be on for very long. We're not going to make this a really long, lengthy episode because, as you might have heard me say this before, like when you make plans, you know the universe laughs, or God laughs, or whomever. Whomever you look to for a spiritual, spiritual guidance, they laugh Like you really can't make plans. I was planning today to do a really full. They laugh. You really can't make plans. I was planning today to do a really full, robust episode, but in New Jersey it's a snowstorm and the kids, even though they've been home for three weeks on winter break, also have off today, which was an interesting surprise. So we are planning to go outside and play in the snow in about. I have, I think, t-minus 11 minutes before they're going to come knocking on my door.
Speaker 1:So something important that I really want everyone to really start to consider, or to really just start for 2025, like January, new Year's, everyone does resolutions, right. We're all saying, oh, we're going to lose weight, we're going to get healthier, we're going to, you know, physically address things in our body. That's all super important, and we are going to talk a lot about that this year as well. Um, food for medicine, and really leaning into more holistic approaches for things. I'm an advocate for pharmaceuticals. I think they're wonderful and they have a place, but there's also these wonderful things that you can do with food. Um, so, outside of that, though, 2025, I want this to be the year that you all start meditating. I want this to be the year that all of you who have been following the podcast and everyone who's just tapping in right now actually finds themselves Now, that sounds cheesy, right, because it's like, jenny, you're 40 years old.
Speaker 1:You just found yourself Like, what the hell have you been doing? Well, it's because we go through phases, right, like you have your early 20s and your 20s, and you have your 30s and your 40s, and every every age group, you are going to be changing your body biologically changes, right? So why aren't we having mental shifts? Why are we feeling like, oh, we can't have these awakenings? There are professionals that I found that, like you know, vera Wang, for example, didn't design her first dress until I think she was in her 40s Like people. This does not mean this is the end of the line for us. Just because you've been doing something for 20, 30 years doesn't mean that there's not something fresh and new out there for you. So I want this to be the year let's reexamine what we're doing. Are we really living the lives that we want? On that note, huge book that came out in December I think December 3 was the release date and I pre purchased the book because I was so excited.
Speaker 1:If you've been following, you do know that I am a huge fan of Kathy Heller. Fan doesn't even begin to describe how much this person resonates with me. I stumbled upon Kathy by chance which to me says synchronicity when I was trying to figure out how to launch a podcast what do I do, what are the steps that are needed and what's involved there. Now, I found her episode that was how to podcast, and in that episode I then started to tap into some of her other content. And Kathy isn't just a podcaster, she is so much more than that. Now, when I found her and I found her podcasting course and I started to look into her materials, she did these wonderful virtual workshops and I was like let me sign up for this. I've never really invested in myself. Let me sign up for this and see what could happen.
Speaker 1:Flash forward three years and the amount of shifts that have happened in my life is astronomical, for lack of a better word. Like there is not. There is so much that has changed for me personally and professionally that it's almost ridiculous not to do these things Now. Kathy really resonated with me. She the book that I'm going to show you is a really great stepping stone If you want to start really looking at aligning your life with what you're really meant to be doing.
Speaker 1:There are a lot of people out there using the buzzwords of manifestation, abundance, visualization, meditation, like and it's so again, a saturated situation. That's like, well, what's real and what isn't? What's actually going to work? Because what's happening is there's so much misinformation out there that people are tapping into the wrong things and thinking to themselves like, well, you know what? This doesn't work, it's nonsense, it's BS, like I'm not going to do this anymore. Again, not the case.
Speaker 1:I was thinking I was meditating, visual, visual, using visualization practices for 10 years or so what? 12 years? I was doing this, thinking I was doing it the right way and I wasn't. So it's very important to find the right path for yourself and to actually understand the steps that are involved. Now I'm going to. I didn't grab the other book that I was thinking of just now, so I'm going to have to. I'll show it on the next live, but for this live I want to show you all abundant ever after Now. This is the book that I started reading in December. I followed Kathy for a long time, so I know a lot of the things in here already.
Speaker 1:But I think, for beginners who are wanting to dip into, how are we going to make the life of our dreams? You literally have the tools in your toolbox already, but you don't know how to use them, and you really don't. And it's crazy to say it because, again, I thought I was doing the right things and until the veil was lifted from my eyes, it was like I might as well have just been walking directly into a wall and bouncing off and continue to walk into that wall. It just wasn't going to happen. As soon as the veil was lifted, major changes happened.
Speaker 1:I'm going to use money to kind of show you an example here, the very first example of abundance that came my way through meditation, visualization, affirmations, journaling I was using, employing all these methods, the very first huge, abundant thing that came into my life was a $15,000 abundance. That's massive and that's life changing, and it did. It impacted my life tremendously and with that I took that as wow, this is legit. I need to keep going. Now. There are so many more steps involved in this and that is why I'm saying I don't want you to just go down this path and say like, oh, I'm just going to sit in a corner and meditate. Oh, meditation doesn't work, not the way. So I want you to pick up this book, abundant Ever After. You can get it on Amazon. There's constantly sales. You can get an audio book of this.
Speaker 1:If you're not sure, and you're not sure if you want to pick up the book just yet, I would say you can also just check out Kathy's podcast. Check it out. She has like over a thousand episodes, I think at this point, or she's nearing a thousand episodes. Scroll through them. I can almost guarantee that if you look through her podcast episodes and you find one that you think might be intriguing, I can guarantee you that that's the one for you and the only reason why I say that and I can say that, with feeling like that is a legitimate thing is because anytime I ever was feeling a little bit lost and I would tap into her podcast to see, like, well, you know, let me just, let me just look at something really quickly that was the episode I needed to hear. It was almost like clockwork. Every single time the episode I tapped on was the one I needed to hear. So what I really want you guys to do is to check into her podcast. Now, is it a little odd that me, a podcaster, is sending you somewhere else Perhaps, but I really want what's best for you for this year and I really, really want you to navigate towards her. So pick up the book Abundant Ever After, towards her. So pick up the book Abundant Ever After. I promise you won't be disappointed if you follow these practices and if you really really start to look into this.
Speaker 1:Again, season three of the podcast is going to be launching next weekend, on Sunday. You're going to be getting some really fabulous guest episodes. Well, you can follow me on LinkedIn, but you can also follow me on Instagram. We have a Facebook page and the live YouTube channel is going to be starting to roll out as well.
Speaker 1:I'm working on that. Technicalities, I'm a solo person, so I'm figuring out all the nuances. So January 12th for our season my season three episodes they're going to start rolling and I do still have four slots available for guest episodes. So if you are interested in being a guest, reach out to me on any of the platforms that I'm featured on and I will get back to you. I've been connecting with people on Instagram to be guests. Linkedin happens all the time.
Speaker 1:Just shoot me a note. I am highly interested in hearing your story and in having other people hear your story, so I'm going to leave you with that. Look into Kathy Heller. Start thinking about how you want to shift your 2025 and how we can make this year the best year you can possibly have. I think that a goal personally for 2025 would be to have five of my listeners scale their lives in 2025. And I want to be the one to be able to share your story. So let's get rolling. I hope you all had a great holiday season. I'm looking forward for all of you to be on this journey with me for 2025 and for season three, and I will see you on the next one, take care.
